Electrical Shift Technician

x2 Shift Technician - FM Service Provider - Cyprus - £48,300 + £13,860 Shift allowance = £62,160

CBW is currently recruiting for 2 shift technicians to join a defence contract currently mobilising in Cyprus.

You will have a background and qualifications in either Electrical or Mechanical biased.
As based in Cyprus full time, you will be offered a package in line with standard T&Cs plus a generous Overseas Allowance to support with accommodation etc whilst in the country.
SC Security Clearance is a condition of employment.  If not held before, this will be obtained with the support of the hiring company.

In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £48,300 + £13,860 Shift allowance = £62,160.

Note this overseas allowance will decrease to £6930 in the second year.

The current basic salary will remain the same (£48,300), however, the overseas allowance has recently been increased from £6,930 to £13,860.

This is guaranteed for the 1st year of service, is paid in 12 instalments and will then reduce back down to the original overseas allowance (i.e.

The total salary after 1 year will reduce to £55,230
Hours of work
Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm (until December 2023 when 24-7 shift will operate)
Overtime available paid at 1.5 & DT
Key duties & responsibilities

  • Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance is carried out to all client assets through the operation of the Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
  • Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records are about Health & Safety, Building Compliance and Quality Assurance.
  • Ensure that sub-contractors perform to meet the requirement of the contract.

    Administer subcontractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
    Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain the plant in serviceable order at all times.

  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
  • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are completed in the form of job sheets.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed and utilised for all tasks (PPM's and reactive) carried out to ensure safe working practices.
  • To maintain & develop good client relationships.
  • Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate, including the utilisation of the shift engineers to ensure the task is suitably completed.
  • To undertake annual appraisals of your shift engineers
  • To ensure the shift team are suitably skilled and trained, and appropriate training plans are drafted and implemented.
  • Electrically or mechanically qualified
  • City & Guild Levels 2 & 3
  • City & Guilds - 17th or 18th Edition
  • A proven track record in Building Maintenance working
  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical.
  • Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution / HVAC / HV LV etc
  • Good Leadership & Management skills
Highly desirable
  • High Voltage Certified -  Current (Highly desirable)
  • Data Centre experience
  • Critical experience
