Black Country Women's Aid (BCWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking.

Services range from advocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support and access to a range of therapeutic interventions.

All services are client and needs led.

The service:

Black Country Women's Aid (BCWA) provides 24-hour emergency accommodation for victims of violence, abuse and modern slavery in need of temporary safe accommodation.

The organisation manages and provides 71 units of accommodation in various locations of the West Midlands, ranging from houses in multiple occupation, individual flats and houses, as well as group schemes.

Job role

Job Title: Accommodation Cleaner
Positions available: 1 part-time position, 25-30 hours per week, across 5 days Monday to Friday (negotiable), 12 months fixed term contract
Salary: £10.24 per hour

We are looking for an organised and efficient individual to undertake our cleaning role.

The role:

You will be working across our property portfolio to ensure that our residential spaces are clean and secure.

Duties include cleaning, preparation of accommodation and domestic duties.

BCWA has adapted services during COVID to support victims of violence and abuse that meet all the latest Government guidance.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available at all our sites and distributed to all staff as appropriate.

You will receive appropriate training to undertake the duties of the job on and on and offsite basis and all situations are risk assessed.

Management supervision, support and oversight is embedded in our practice to ensure all parties are kept safe.
