Bid Manager/ Writer

The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with outstanding bid management and writing skills to join APCOA.

As Bid Manager/Writer you will have a crucial role in supporting and identifying proposals and writing responses.

This will be across APCOA’s range of public and private sector businesses.

 Integral to these responsibilities will be the co-ordination of the bid team to enhance the quality of the bid submissions.

Whilst supporting the sales team presentation preparation and whenever necessary working on the face to face pitching of APCOA’s propositions.
This role will require working with the top management team and the other business functions to deliver and develop strong, competitive bids.
Key responsibilities.

  •    To seek, identify and secure new profitable, viable and sustainable business opportunities for the Company by leading/managing the formal bid process.
  •  To form and nurture working relationships with key players within the public and private sector organisations with  view to identifying further business and pipeline opportunities.
  •    Demonstrate a high level of business acumen, in conjunction to a broad understanding of procurement processes and procedures.  Therefore ensuring all contracts offer longevity, profitability and overall success.
  •     To ensure win -themes are articulated to demonstrate strategic advantages and bid differentiators to deliver chances of success through tender channels.
  •     Write PQQ’s and ITT responses, while working closely with the business development team and other business colleagues.

    Therefore, ensuring excellence in quality, accuracy and presentation.
  •    Work closely with the operations and finance departments to put together the relevant financial and budgetary information for bids to manage and understand the effect on human capital and investment risk.
  •   As part pf the bid process, enter negotiations with the potential client and APCOA suppliers to ensure profitable new business is secured.
  •     Identify any external influences (PESTLE) which might affect the bid process.
  •     Endeavour to work with the business development team to improve the the profile of APCOA within a new and existing client area.

What we are looking for
      Experience of brief taking and bid preparation and writing.

Furthermore, client  presentations and   negotiations.
·      Degree qualified or equivalent.
·      Worked in similar role within the service industry or business to business sector.
·      The ability to demonstrate the understanding of the procurement process within  private and public sectors from EOI to PQQ and ITT responses.
·      Exceptional time management to ensure deadlines are meet across a range of tasks.
·      The ability to read, understand and compile a spectrum of business documents in a range of formats.
·      Excellent financial modelling and report writing skills.
·      Good communication, interpersonal and networking skills.


What APCOA will offer you;
  Up to £60,000 per annum
