Lead Occupational Therapist

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Lead Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional rehabilitation clinic based in the Rougham, Bury St Edmunds area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This is a rehabilitation service that offers specialist care specifically designed to support women who have a diagnosis of a Personality Disorder (PD), with or without disordered eating or high functioning Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)


*To be considered for this position you must hold a full Royal College of Occupational Therapist membership and Active HCPC registration



As the Lead Occupational Therapist your key duties include:

  • Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and encourage the service users to be fully engaged in their care pathway

  • To support clinical team working, including both direct interventions and the delivery of staff training programmes

  • Attend any meetings called by the Therapy Lead, and will develop therapies and make any changes to the therapy provision

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Experience in assessing people with a variety of psychometrics and risk assessment tools

  • To be able to work therapeutically, engaging people in developing insight and coping skills to manage their complex needs

  • Experience in supervising and managing junior members of the team

  • To operate within professional boundaries and in line with the RCOT/HCPC Code of Conduct at all times

  • At least 3 years' experience, with at least 1 years' experience of working within the specialised area i.e.

    Mental Health/PD services

The successful Lead Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary up to £44,503 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
