Deputy Ward Nurse Manager

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Deputy Ward Manager to work in an exceptional hospital service based in the Attleborough, Norfolk.

This hospital offers purpose-built services with medium secure, low secure, and both locked and open rehabilitation opportunities.

As the Deputy Ward manager your key responsibilities include:



  • Supervision and management of care staff

  • Planning, assessing, delivering and evaluating individual care

  • Planning staff rotas

  • Establish and maintain outstanding communication with clients, relatives and colleagues

  • Deputise in the absence of the Ward Manager

  • Undertake on call within a rota

  • Demonstrate consistent leadership and role modelling



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Clinical experience and leadership

  • Experienced in delivering and receiving supervision

  • Ability to be able to assess and prioritise clinical situations

  • Management of effective communication between medical and nursing staff both verbal and written is a key element of this role

  • Experience in Mental Health services

  • At least 3 years, or equivalent experience post-registration



The successful Deputy Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £44,648 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
