Technician

Technician (Commercial Vehicle van or truck)
(Mertrux Nottingham)

Applications are invited for the post of Maintenance Technician for Mertrux Limited.

This is a full-time position based at our Nottingham branch.

Reporting to the After Sales Manager, your main duties will include the routine service, inspection and repair of Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles.

The person we are looking for must have a proven technical knowledge and understanding and ability to repair faults on modern vehicles.

We are looking for a qualified technician who has had previous experience of working in a Commercial Vehicle workshop for both van and truck, although training will be offered to the right person to progress to truck.

You need to be enthusiastic, hardworking, self-motivated and be able to work a rotating weekly shift system.



Mertrux invest heavily in their people ensuring that they receive the Mercedes Benz main dealer training and the support they need to grow with the company.

Hours
Week one - 06:00 - 15:30 Monday to Friday night (1/2 an hour break)
Week two - 14:00 - 00:00 Monday to Thursday (1/2 an hour break)
14:30 - 22:00 Friday (1/2 an hour break)
Saturdays on a rota as required.



Skills;

, Must be to a City and Guilds, IMI, NVQ3 BTEC or equivalent in Vehicle repair.
, IRTEC is beneficial but not essential

We can offer you an hourly rate of £15.90/hr

* 45-hour contract, plus 15% shift allowance, overtime (not guaranteed) plus pension and life assurance with the opportunity to work in a Mercedes Benz workshop with Mercedes Benz training.
