Civil Enforcement Officer

The Role

As a part time Civil Enforcement Officer you will enforce all on-street permitted parking regulations in all controlled zones in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004
 
What you’ll do:
Record, report and take appropriate action on any defects found in street furniture, including signs and road markings, or any suspect vehicles in accordance with local procedure
Attend when necessary adjudication hearings to give supporting information in connection with contested PCNs
Log your position manually in your pocket book and in your HHCT
Ensure correct pocket book procedure is followed
Represent the Company and the Council by promoting good public relations, providing advice and information concerning parking related matters
Use your radio and HHCT equipment in a proper manner in accordance with procedures and safeguard same from damage and misuse
Ensure copies of all PCN or Warning Notice tickets are printed and handed in with all necessary paperwork at the end of each shift or working day
 
What you'll Bring:
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills with good written and spoken English
Must be physically fit
Smart appearance
Flexible
Must hold a Valid Full UK Drivers Licence
 
What we’ll offer you:
£11.00 per hour £22,880 per annum
40 hours per week- working 5 days out of 7 Mon-Sun
20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro ratered)
