Management Accountant

Management Accountant - Aberdeen - 28.5K 

Reporting to the Senior Accountant and Operations Director this is a unique opportunity to join a holding company with a diverse range of companies within the portfolio.   The career development is there for the taking!   The successful candidate will have two Accounts Assistants to manage in the team in Aberdeen.  

Monthly/quarterly reporting

Calculating and posting accruals and prepayments

Maintenance of fixed asset register

Preparation of data for cash flow reporting

Preparation of management accounts in a timely manner

Overseeing the processing and recording of supplier invoices by the team & managing payment runs for these.

Overseeing bank reconciliations by the team

Overseeing and checking VAT returns, and CIS returns.

Support the streamlining of finance operational procedures to reduce the potential for errors and minimise risks.

Communication with external payroll processing company.

The role will also involve meeting with Directors, and Managers of units to discuss management accounts

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• Computer literacy
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Good organisational skills
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Prior use of Sage Accounting system would be advantageous
• Experience with Projects costings and Departments also beneficial, but training can also be provided
• Ability to lead and manage a team
