Customer Service- Civil Enforcement Officer

The Role

We are currently looking for Civil Enforcement Officers to join our team.
What You'll do
To enforce all on-street permitted parking regulations in all controlled zones and Car Parks, in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 on foot or by car/van
To issue penalty charge notices (PCN’s) using a hand-held computer terminal (HHCT) to vehicles found to be in contravention of the regulations
Car Park Duties including cash handling
To record, report and take appropriate action on any defects found in street furniture, including signs and road markings, or any suspect vehicles
To represent the Company and the Council by promoting good public relations, providing advice and information concerning parking related matters, whenever asked, in a courteous manner
To use your radio and equipment in a proper manner in accordance with procedures and safeguard same from damage and misuse
To ensure you present yourself for work, on time, and in full uniform which will be clean and free from creases
To follow any Health and Safety requirement in place or introduced within and regarding the workplace and on street
To assist the Company in the smooth running of our daily operation to company standards of operation
Be able to handle difficult situations in a calm and professional way

What You'll bring
Excellent customer service skills
Effective communication skills with good written and spoken English
Full and Clean Driving licence (not Essential)
Must enjoy working outdoors

What we will offer you
40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 with overtime available
£9.50 hourly rate
