Band 6 Physiotherapist - MSK

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Band 6 Physiotherapist - MSK to work in an exceptional health centre based in the Luton, Bedfordshire area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

The service provides adults over 16 with advice and treatment for all musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions across the area.

This service helps to treat a range of conditions, relating to muscles, joints, bones, tendons, ligaments and some nerve-related conditions

*To be considered for this position you must hold a Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC

As a Physiotherapist your key duties include:

• Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with all patients


• Work within the local clinical guidelines and CSP guidelines and to have a good working knowledge of national and local standards and monitor own quality of practice as appropriate


• To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) standards of practice


• Ensure that your own practice meets the required professional standards of physiotherapy practice


• To demonstrate highly developed dexterity, co -ordination and palpatory senses for assessments and manual treatment of patients


• To represent physiotherapy department / colleagues internally and externally regarding physiotherapy services in their clinical field


• To manage clinical risk within own patient caseload

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Ability to work independently, and to pass on knowledge/skills to others within both formal and informal environments


• Excellent communication and team working skills


• Skills / abilities


• Ability to use IT and clinical systems to a high standard


• Presentation Skills


• Motivational and leadership skills


• Specific Musculoskeletal experience

The successful Physiotherapist will receive an excellent salary up to £39,027 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
