Senior Communications and PR Manager

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Communications and PR Manager for one of UK's largest national construction business operating at Tier 1 level.

You will be reporting into the Head of Communications and Marketing, while being responsible to lead a majority of internal & external communications and PR campaigns for West & East Midlands regions.

Essential Skills: -

  • Effective communications and PR experience, ideally within construction, built environment

  • Stakeholder engagement skills

  • Good media relations skills, with the ability to liaise with journalists

  • The ability to influence business leaders

  • Strategic thinker

  • Excellent writing, facilitation and presentation skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Use a wide range of communication skills to be able to plan, deliver & measure successful campaigns.

    This involves a variety of of programmes such as: - high profile campaigns, events, change projects, crisis comunications & social media.

  • Build and maintain relationships with national, trade, and regional media and government/commercial client media teams.

  • Work with senior leaders, bidding and preconstruction teams to identify, prioritise and deliver communications, public relations and public affairs and stakeholder engagement campaigns.

  • Assist in developing and carrying out the Group's communications and marketing strategy.

  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders and stakeholders, with the ability to influence and provide them with expert advice on communications and PR.
