Registered Mental Health Nurse - Addictions

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Registered Mental Health Nurse - Addictions to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Glasgow area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This hospital is one of the UK's leading centres for the treatment of a range of conditions including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and eating disorders


*You must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC Pin



As a Nurse your key duties include:

  • Work as an effective member of the Multi-Disciplinary team

  • Promote the best interests of the clients and carers and ensure that prescribed nursing care is effectively implemented

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe care environment

  • Exercise professional accountability and responsibility using professional skills

  • Knowledge and expertise in changing environments

  • Work within the scope of professional practice

  • Undertake the role of “Preceptor” to newly qualified staff

  • Evaluate and respond to changes in patient condition and needs

  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Team player

  • Patient-centred

  • Possess excellent communication skills

  • Flexibility is required to work across all wards

  • A good knowledge of the Mental Health Act, risk assessments and the care plan approach is required

  • Experience of working within Acute General Psychiatry/Addictions is desirable

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week shifts will be rotational across days and nights.
