Deputy Care Home Manager

A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Deputy Care Home Manager to work in an exceptional reputable care home for people with learning disabilities based in the Cinderford, Gloucester area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers



The home specialises in providing personalised residential care for people living with autism/ASD, challenging behaviour and other learning disabilities.

The home itself has a relaxed atmosphere where they offer a wide variety of activities to fill the days

As the Deputy Manager your key duties include:



  • You will be expected to support and act in the absence of the Registered Manager

  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service, participate in administration duties and ensure all required records are kept current and accurate to ensure validated audit trails

  • You'll participate in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of individuals' Care Plans, goals, Positive Behaviour Support Plans and risk assessments

  • Attend/participate in multi-disciplinary reviews for the service users and help undertake staff supervisions



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Practical experience of supporting people with complex needs who can challenge their environment and the people supporting them

  • Be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support, Practise Leadership, Person Centred Approaches

  • Excellent communication skills



The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary of £10.50 per hour and the annual salary is £21,840 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 40 hours a week.
