Penrith Relief Chefs
As Cumbria enters the busiest period of the year, the time has come for us to grow the AWOL Relief Chef Team.Whether you pick up a couple of shifts on your days off or you've worked for us before and you've taken a break to do other things, relief work has the potential to be as beneficial as it's ever been, if not more so...
- Get paid for every single hour that you work .
It's great if your hourly rate works out at £12.50 based on a 40 hour week, but if you're working 50 and 60 hours, it's diluting your earnings.
AWOL Chefs get paid for every hour (actually to the nearest quarter if you want to be picky...) they work at a variety of rates depending on the level of responsibility required for the job...
- Lose the responsibilities of managing the kitchen .
The need to be a manager, stock taker, diplomat and remind the KP of basic hygiene rules whilst remembering the name of your suppliers AND your kids...
all that disappears.
Go forth and cook, leave at the end of the shift, and enjoy not needing to worry about an ongoing feud between the restaurant manager and the CdP who knows which buttons to push...
- A change is as good as a rest .
If it has a kitchen, we'll work with the business and that means we're currently working with schools, restaurants, hotels, cafes, pubs, Outdoor centres, museums, universities and bakeries.
It is entirely possible to work in a different outlet every single day of the week.If you've been thinking about a change, if you're fed up with your current career trajectory, or you just quite like the idea of relief work, drop us a line or give us call.
We're happy to chat through your options and take a look at how it might work for you.
Please note that all candidates must have their own transport and be based in Cumbria or North Lancashire.
All applicants will be required to provide details of a minimum of 2 referees.
