As a Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients with eating disorders to diagnose and determine appropriate treatment plans
Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of each patient, which may involve a combination of medical, psychological, and nutritional interventions
Prescribing and monitoring psychiatric medications as part of the overall treatment approach, such as antidepressants or antipsychotics for co-occurring conditions like depression or anxiety
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, dieticians, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients
Advocating for the needs of patients with eating disorders and their families, as well as providing education and support to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding these conditions

An fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Thatcham, Berkshire area.
You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
The combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats at the hospital provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation

As the Psychologist your key responsibilities include:
Autonomous in managing your own caseload, which will involve working with complex service-users
Attending regular clinical and service development meetings, such as MDT's, CPA's, referrals, and other hospital-wide meetings
An integral part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team on Male LD MSU
Providing both long & short-term work, which includes being able to undertake clinical assessments to determine clinical needs & treatment plans
Providing both individual and group work to the patients
Maintaining monthly clinical supervision as well as regular line-management supervision
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Evidence of engagement in mental health networks
Post-doctoral level knowledge and application of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis
Experience in using psychological models and theories to address a range of risk and behavioural issues
The successful Psychologist will receive an excellent salary up to £57,000 pro rata.
This exciting position is a permanent part time role working through days.

Lead and deliver evidence-based interventions, including psychological therapies tailored to individual client needs
Offer clinical supervision, training, and consultation to multidisciplinary teams and junior staff
Contribute to service development, policy formulation, and quality improvement initiatives
Participate in research activities and audit to support best practice and continuous professional development
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Experience working in complex clinical settings
Proven expertise in psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions is essential
Experience providing clinical leadership, supervision, and contributing to service development is highly desirable
Excellent communication and leadership skills
The successful Consultant Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £46,950 pro rata.
This exciting position is a permanent part time role working 22.5 hours a week.
