Senior Buyer

Recruit4Staff are pleased to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing company in their search for a Senior Buyer to work in their expanding facility in Telford.

For the successful Senior Buyer our client is offering:

• The starting salary is negotiable depending on experience
• Days based role 8:30am - 5:15pm with a 4:15pm finish on Fridays
• Permanent position
• Free on site parking

• 25 days holiday + bank holidays

• This position is fully Office based and will not involve Hybrid working

The Role - Senior Buyer:

• Strategic sourcing of materials, management procurement processes and optimizing cost without compromising on quality
• Participate in developing and executing procurement strategies for the Group
• Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
• Ensuring timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Conducting spend analysis and market research to stay updated on spend development and match with industry
• Assess, manage, and mitigate risks associated with supply contracts and agreements
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes in buyer-supplier power
• Find and implement new suppliers
• Develop and implement best practices and innovations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes
• Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

What our client is looking for in a Senior Buyer:

• Demonstrates 5+ years working in a Senior Buying role 
• Experienced working within a fast paced Manufacturing/Engineering based business
• Additional certification is highly advantageous (CPP or CPSM)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Able to handle complex procurement tasks
