Technical Heating Surveyor

CBW have a new opportunity for a Heating Engineer to carry out Air Source Heat Pump & Full Central Heating System surveys throughout Scotland. Candidate's will ideally have experience in Renewable Energy including knowledge of Heat Pump Design & Installation, further training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Surveying domestic properties to enable a comprehensive plan for heating installations to be generated whilst ensuring the customer is aware of all installation requirements.
  • Liaising with office staff to ensure adequate resource and materials are in place for successful installations.
  • Job will entail an element of commissioning and setting-up heating systems as well as fault finding and remedial works as the role develops.
  • Using in house software to assist with calculating Heat Loss & Pipe Runs within properties.
  • Attend meetings/toolbox talks when required.
  • Commitment to the use of best practice, continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Ensuring all photographic and paperwork requirements are completed for each job.
  • Any other duties as may be specified from time to time.
Essential

  • Previous experience in central heating installations, a minimum of 5 years is required.
  • Ability to interpret technical surveys for material orders/additional works.
  • A valid Disclosure Scotland Certificate.
  • Fantastic customer and client communication skills with effective verbal skills.
  • Gas Safe Qualified.
  • The ability to be flexible in hours and days of work, dependent on business needs and travel/work away from home as required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with office team to ensure seamless progression from survey to installation.
  • A willingness to develop knowledge and skill base to reflect developing market.
 

Desirable

  • Experience of Renewables and Air Source Heat Pump Installations.
  • Knowledge of the various funding routes for heating replacements within the industry.
  • Experience of using electronic devices to record survey & installation evidence.
  • Strong understanding of the product ranges available across the industry.
