Fire Door Installers - West Midlands

My client are currently looking to recruit for Fire Door Installers in the West Midlands.

The Fire Door Installer role will develop as the Passive Division expands.

You will provide a fundamental and essential role in supporting the Passive Manager.

Job Description:-

The installation of fire doors is very critical and should be carried out by someone who is very competent and has been trained to install fire doors and understands the responsibilities in getting it right.

Fire doors that are incorrectly installed/fitted with incompatible components invalidate all certifications and will not provide adequate protection.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:-



* To have a good knowledge and understanding of Timber Fire Doors.


* To install new and replacement Fire Doors in a competent manner.


* To be able to ensure that the choice of Frame/lining/casing and intumescent smoke seals are compatible.


* Be able to identify that the frame is correct for the door's rating.

Ideally The Right Candidate Will Have:-



* Have extensive knowledge of BRE, BM Trada, FIRAS or FDS equivalent.


* Have a good understanding of BS8214 and BS9999.


* Be thorough and well organised.

Understand the regulations relating to the gap allowance between door and frame.
