HR & Compliance Officer

Do you have HR administration experience? Are you confident offering your employment law knowledge? 

Our client is recruiting for a HR & Compliance Officer to join a national cleaning company with an impressive and established client base. 

You will take responsibility for all HR administration and documentation and will be the first point of contact for around 100 Line Managers for HR related issues to ensure the company are adhering to current HR legislation. 

This role offers the opportunity for you to utilise the company’s employment advisors when requiring additional support and resources.

Duties include:


  • Supporting Line Managers with HR queries
  • Supporting Line Managers on disciplinary and grievance process, from investigations to appeals
  • Providing administration for performance management and sickness absence management
  • Taking responsibility for the administration of redundancies, restructures and TUPE transfers
  • Reviewing employment documentation and ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice
  • Assisting Line Managers with recruitment activity
  • Leading on HR compliance (file audits) and liaison with the Company’s insurers with the support of the HR Administrator
  • Other HR Administration duties as required

Experience required:


  • Previous employee relations experience within a HR administration capacity
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with ability to communicate
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
  • Good team player
  • Previous experience working within a cleaning or security company in this capacity would be an advantage
  • Previous experience with auditing is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided to the successful candidate

  • Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum 
  • Job Type: Full Time – Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm
