A residential and commercial property sales and lettings company based in Scarborough currently have an exciting opportunity for a Property / Lettings Manager to join their team.

As the Property Manager, you primary responsibility will be the management of rental properties including dealing with any problems or issues that tenants and landlords may have.

It is essential that the Property / Lettings Manager has the ability to represent the company in a professional manner and can maintain high standards with regards to communication and record keeping. 

As a Property Manager you will be responsible for the following:-

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of let residential properties to include correct handling of problems
  • Arrange quarterly inspections of all properties, advising the landlords of any changes or issues arising
  • Draw up tenancy agreements and arrange inventories prior to tenancy starting
  • conduct check ins and check outs, liaising with all parties to negotiate a speedy and satisfactory conclusion
  • Collecting rent money and deposits from tenants and paying contractors and landlords
  • Liaise with tenants/landlords re maintenance issues
  • Obtain quotes from contractors prior to works being agreed.
  • Update records and maximise the use of databases to ensure all property and tenant details are upto date
  • Attend any meetings with landlords as required
  • Attend monthly management meeting with directors of business

Key Skills:

  • Maintain and increase the current levels of managed properties
  • Ensure that the landlord, tenant and our business are compliant with regards to legislation
  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Have a positive and pleasant attitude
  • Maintain a high standard of record keeping and communication to ensure accuracy in file management, communications and compliance
  • Being extremely well organised
  • Having strong communication skills
  • Some Residential Lettings experience would be preferable.
  • Account management experience is essential
